Guido Daniele is known for his unusual paintings. His transformation of hands to elaborate animals, utilizing the 3 dimensional area and the restrictions of the figure are quite unique and playful.

The Secret of Kells
I just watched this movie for my art history class. The animators mimicked the animal style found in the book of kells for the actual film (which is about the book being made). The animation was beautiful, detailed, and designed wonderfully.
